Our crochet hooks are exclusively hand –sculpted and hand-carved by our artisan in Nepal. The crochet hooks are made from combining three different materials.

The top figurines of the crochet hooks are hand-carved out of horn, bone, or rosewood and attached on the top. The middle sections of the crochet hooks are artistically spindle turned into various shapes on a lathe. The tip portion is made of horn. The smooth surface of the horn provides fantastic smoothness to crochet. An inlay eyes are infused with bone and horn. The hook tip is hand carved to bring standard size.

Our crochet hooks come in sizes 5, through 10mm, and are 5 to 6 inches in length.

Each crochet hooks are unique and and represents symbolic figurines of various creatures. We have frog, elephant, squirrel, owl, Fish, and more creatures are coming.

Elephant: Many people associate good memory and assorted qualities with elephants such as wisdom and longevity. Hindus worship the god Ganesh for health, wealth and fertility.

This god removes obstacles and bestows prosperity. It is also an embodiment of Buddha. Buddha was conceived when an elephant appeared in an auspicious dream of his mother.

Frog: Frogs are messengers of new season and new life. Their dual existence on water and land and metamorphosis, from egg to tadpole and frog relates to human Psyche and out existence.

The frog is in a reflective, meditative pose. It signifies that its time to contemplate a design and pattern and start a project for a new season.

Owl: The owl represents the realm of the unknown, a guardian of the night and a keeper of the unconscious.

It represents wisdom and hidden knowledge. Engaging eyes of an owl will inspire you to crochet and knits hours ends.

 

Squirrel: The squirrel's habit of gathering and storing nuts and food symbolizes thrift, and conception (?). It represents the anticipation of the future, awakening and preparedness.

The squirrels crochet hook is meticulously created. Squirrel is holding an acorn and is in alert position. Be like a squirrel that finishes its mission bit by bit with the anticipation for the things to come.


swan ThumbSwan:n Greek myth, Zeus took the form of a swan to seduce Leda, the Queen of Sparta and came to symbolize the seductive love of the Gods for humans. It stands for solitude, music, sincerity and beauty. The swan’s gracefulness is reflected in its
long curved neck and carved wings.
